To quote wikipedia: "Eyes are the organs of vision" and "The third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight".

Static Cling, 2015

Interactive Installation at the Lumen Festival in Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Staten Island, NY.

 

Static Cling is an interactive installation centered around the clothes line. Participants are encouraged to interact with the masks and play out their personal performative fantasies in the space between two trees. Reminiscent of a child's play space, Static Cling suggests the arbitrariness between public and private arenas.

How To Get Your Third Eye, 2014

A Third Eye is painted on each participant at Bartertown in exchange for a vision: which may be a dream, a sighting, a premonition, an out of body experience, a vision of a past or future reincarnation, a story of a person's idea of the future of humankind, someone they hope to meet, someone they hope to be........

Deep End, 2013

 

A post-apocalyptic child's playroom, which has been made available to the audience as an arena for staging radical antics, where constant performance is demanded and results in presentations of new identities. Deep End allows for a social space where verbal communication becomes moot. Participants who don masks and costumes are able to embody anonymity, play games, have the power to conceal, camouflage, defend, and/or offend their fellow performers.
